This is an Intravenous only product that should be mixed only with normal saline and no other products should be added to the saline bag/bottle and/or administered through the same line. Once the iron is added to the drip bag/bottle, it should be used immediately.
Iron is a difficult product to work with and hypersensitivity isn't uncommon, it is your responsibility to ensure you are appropriate trained, insured and confident to use this product safely.
